Maki Toki

Site:

Alright fellow sushi lovers, we got
a big surprise for you.
We always talked about an all you can eat sushi restaurant.
But, we've never heard or went to one.
That is, until tonight.
We went to Maki Toki located in North Austin (Braker and Metric).
Here, you have the option to get all you can eat sushi
for 23 bucks plus tax or individual sushi rolls.
The all you can eat sushi deal also includes
appetizers and etc.

Here's the rules for the all you can eat:
-No Take Out
-No Sharing
-Please Finish Everything You Order
-We Will Charge For Leftover Food
-No Sashimi
-Two Rolls or 8 Pieces of Nigiri at a Time,
Order More As You Go.

With that said, we broke our sushi roll eating record by
ordering a total of 10 rolls.

Here are the rolls:

420
Smoked Salmon, Baked Shrimp, Scallop, Scallion.
This wasn't fishy which is good and it was nice and warm.
The only thing is that the scallops would easily fall off.

Some Like It Hot
Tuna Tempura, Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese, and Jalapeño.
This is one of our favorites.
It was just like the title says.
Hot jalapeños and a little creamy.

Seafood Delight
Shrimp, Crab, Roe, fish, Scallop, Scallion
This one looks exactly like the 420 but
you can tell the different after the first bite.
Nice and warm and a little fishy.

Scuba
Soft Shell Crab, Salmon, Tuna, Avocado
Another favorite.
Right after the first piece, there was some laughter,
and satisfaction. Soft Shell Crab tasted like crisp bacon.

In the front, we have Firecracker Shrimp.
Spicy Tempura, Shrimp, and avocado.
Very crunchy. Not your typical tempura.
Has different kind of batter that's really good.

In the middle, we have WOW.
Steak, Cream Cheese, Mango, Avocado.
The Wow roll was another favorite.
Cream Cheese+Steak=Awesome.

In the back, we have Tuna Mania.
Spicy Tuna, Pepper Tuna, and Scallion.
Liked the lightly seared tuna on top.

And if you ever wonder what would be like
if a taco was made into a sushi?
Well, here's your answer:

Fiesta
Crab, Avocado, Cucumber, Cilantro, Onion, Jalapeño.
We thought we seen it all.
Big kick we got here.
Another favorite.

Left we have: Sweet Stacy
Sweet Potato, Cream Cheese, Avocado, and Soy Paper.
We can taste the sweetness just a little bit
but it's also spicy. A nice finish.

On the right we have: Chick's Rockin' Roll
Pepper Tuna, Cream Cheese, Topped with
Izumi Tai Spicy Mayo
Warm and creamy.
Tuna tasted just like chicken.

There you have it.
10 Sushi Rolls.
We couldn't move anymore.
That's what happens when you say,
"all you can eat."

If you were to get all these rolls individually,
the price would of been almost 90 dollars.
We got two "all you can eat" deals.
Our bill was 50 bucks total besides the tip.

So, in order to take advantage of their "all you can eat" deal,
you must be very hungry.
